ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः

Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ

Om — the three worlds: earth, atmosphere, and heaven

तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम्

tat savituṛ vareṇyam

that divine radiance of the sun, which is most adorable

भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि

bhargo devasya dhīmahi

we meditate upon the luminous light of the divine

धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्

dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt

may it inspire our intellect and understanding
